FAQs

What is the idea of „purpositum“?

We combine art and capital to realise powerful creative projects and offer both artists and investors a meaningful, value-creating partnership. We constantly scout and receive ideas from the art world, analyzing their purpose, relevance and potential.

Who is the team behind „purpositum“?

We are a team of experienced creative industry professionals with a strong foundation in the world`s capital markets, based out of Frankfurt am Main, Germany and Zurich, Switzerland.

As an investor, how can I become part or support the „purpositum“?

You can invest in clearly defined projects to see them grow. We found that even the most successful investors, are still looking for problems to solve and for meaningful places where their funds can be more useful. Supporting emerging artists and creatives to bring works of art into this world is a transformative process that you can enjoy and that will bring a new purpose to your invested capital.  We offer investment packages that are linked to specific goals an artist wants to achieve. For example an artist might need 5000 Euro to get her exhibition from Frankfurt to Paris. Or a band might need 10.000 Euro for a tour. The ususal investment will be  between 5.000 and 50.000 Euro with options to continuously sponsor your favorite artist.

As an institution, how can I support the „purpositum“?

As an institution you can donate funds to the purpositum foundation and foster our work while creating social impact.

As an artist, how can I become part or support the „purpositum“?

As an artist, you can sign up with us and contribute with ideas, artwork or curation skills as we have to look at many projects. Our team will guide you on how to structure your contribution and will set up the terms and conditions.

What kind of art do you look for?

Purpositum is constantly looking for artists and projects that can be connected with capital in order to reach the next level. We are open to submissions from all creative fields: from film to books, from graffiti to classical paintings, from music to ballet to installations and performances.

If I invest, what outcome can I expect?

With purpositum you’ll become part of the process, of the experience, and not to forget, of the profits.

Imagine your investment in a music band lead to a series of concerts. It`s Friday night. You are on your way to the venue. You move past the crowd and are immediately brought backstage. The band is warming up. You are having a few drinks and talk about that „hook“ the singer sent you last night. The curtain drops. In your front row seat you enjoy the show with your friends. You hit the afterparty location. And a part of the returns hit your bank account. Once a project succeeds, investors earn through profit-sharing, licensing, or asset appreciation.

While we cannot always guarantee that a work of art will sell millions of copies, or be a huge commercial success, we can definitely guarantee your emotional ROI in form of connections, being part of the artist framework and experiencing a new world that you help to foster.

How do I measure impact and outcome?

Progress is measured by the milestones an artist has set up for him or herself. As part of the artist portfolio investors will receive these milestones, that serve like a business plan. We coach our artists and keep the milestones as specific as possible: for example a milestone could be the release of a new album, the writing of a first draft of a movie script or the presentation of a new concept for an exhibition. Milestones are always linked to specific dates, so that you can expect results and monitor success.

How do I get on board?

Onboarding is based on an individual assessment. Just like every artist and project is carefully selected, so are our investors and sponsors. In a personalized workshop we will identify your interests, what drives you and where you can be placed best within our framework.

What about the legal side?

purpositum cooperates with legal advisors to make sure all terms and conditions are accordingly to legal standards.
